Eliminate Offensive Household Odors with Febreze #Noseblind

Disclosure: This review and giveaway was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Febreze. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Living in a home with four kids and two dogs can get downright smelly at times, especially when one child *cough* my daughter *cough* refuses to clean her backpack out, and when she  finally does it, she find months’ old sandwiches in her lunchbox and bag. BLECH!

(Once it was a forgotten egg that she left underneath their bed from a science experiment. We were pleased when we found that.)

Another issue that we have, and so many other pet owners do too, is your house inevitably begins to smell like dog. Since one of our pooches is a puppy, the rug smells a little. We wash it once a week, sometimes more, if the puppy has an accident, but we definitely still need some way to freshen the air and carpet while reducing the odors in the home.

When we’re plagued by said offensive odors, we turn to Febreze to help us refresh our home and eliminate any smells we don’t want lingering around. I’ve tried other air freshening and odor eliminating products in the past but the Febreze line of products are the best out there in my opinion.Febreze-Review

To test out the Febreze #Noseblind products I received in the mail for review, we held a movie night with our next door neighbors. We watched the Nut Job and popped some butter popcorn.

As we all know, if there’s one smell that can permeate an entire house quickly, it’s popcorn, so it was the perfect thing to use in ourFebreze #Noseblind test.

Our guest had to fill out several surveys on the scent of our home when they arrived, right before the movie started and directly afterwards. Maybe I’m overly sensitive to the smells in our home, but our neighbor told me she didn’t really notice any smelliness from the dogs.

However, the smell of popcorn, once popped, was quite strong and stayed in the house for most of the movie. What little bit of scent was left after it finished quickly disappeared when I plugged in the Febreze Noticeables, lit the Febreze candle and sprayed the Febreze Air Effects. (I tried each in a different room of the house.)

And the verdict overall? Bye bye popcorn smell, hello refreshing flower and rainforest scents. Not only do they smell great, they aren’t overpowering and nauseating like other brands I’ve tried. In fact, the Febreze scents are more natural to me, if that makes sense.

Out of all the products I tried that night, my favorite was the Febreze Noticeables. I ended up moving it from the kitchen, where I originally placed it, into the living room in hopes the doggy smell would go away…and it did. Now I don’t have to worry anymore when we have company over. I feel confident that they friends and family can stop by at any time and I won’t have to stick my nose in the air in search of smells that are embarrassing.

  1. well, it may be the kitchen, poor ventilation when cooking and the odors linger long and around the house

  2. The stinkest room in my house is the living room. I think the dog and cat made it smell a lot!

  3. Our back entry room is the smelliest because it has the litter box in it. Try to keep it clean but odors linger

  4. I would say the stinkiest room in our house is the laundry room. Hubby and son throw dirty, damp clothes in a pile, then will wash at a later time. It certainly makes the room smell musty. 🙂

  5. The stinkest room in my house right now is the bathroom downstairs in the basement, we keep the cats litter box in there.

  6. Probably the bathroom – that’s where the litter box is.
We take good care of it but there’s only so much you can do!
    thank you

  7. The kitchen from the cooking and garbage, or the living room when diapers are being changed

  8. The garage is the stinkiest, has all that oil, fertiziler, chemicals, and cat litter boxes. Because the kitchen is next to the garage that can get stinky too.
